CCTV footage revealed a man throwing what appeared to be crude bombs at two clubs before fleeing the scene. The blasts shattered window panes, causing panic but thankfully no casualties.

The explosions occurred on Monday night in Chandigarh's Sector 26, targeting two popular clubs—Seville Bar and Lounge, owned by singer and rapper Badshah, and De Orra Club. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

What occurred?

According to officials, CCTV footage revealed a man throwing what appeared to be crude bombs outside several clubs before fleeing the scene. The blasts shattered windows, causing panic but fortunately no casualties.

Authorities acted swiftly, with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and other officials being alerted to assess the situation. The police are exploring multiple angles, though an extortion attempt is currently considered the most likely motive. Investigations are also looking into potential disputes among the club's partners as another possible reason behind the attack.

One of the affected venues, Seville Bar and Lounge, was opened by rapper Badshah in December last year. The 39-year-old artist, known for his songs in Hindi, English, Punjabi, and Haryanvi, also co-owns two other establishments—Sago Spicy Symphony and Sidera. Badshah has contributed to Bollywood hits like Kapoor and Sons and Crew.

Police continue to investigate the motives behind the attack and are working to identify the suspect. Meanwhile, the safety of Chandigarh, known for its vibrant nightlife, has come under scrutiny following this incident.
