Google’s Gemini AI Enhances Conversations with New Recall Feature

Google’s Gemini AI assistant is receiving a significant upgrade for Google One AI Premium subscribers. The latest update introduces a conversation recall feature, enabling Gemini to remember past chats and provide more context-aware responses without users needing to repeat themselves.

With this enhancement, users can seamlessly resume ongoing projects, revisit past discussions, and even ask Gemini to summarize previous conversations. Building upon Google’s existing memory feature—which already stores user preferences—this update allows Gemini to actively reference prior interactions, making it more efficient and intuitive.

Users will no longer need to scroll through chats or re-explain details, as Gemini will remember key information and continue conversations naturally. Whether planning an event, working on a long-term project, or engaging in extended discussions, the AI will retain relevant details and pick up where the conversation left off.

Users will also have complete control over their chat history.Google confirms that conversations can be reviewed, managed, or deleted through the “Gemini Apps Activity” section within the Gemini app.

The recall feature is now rolling out in English for Google One AI Premium subscribers on both web and mobile versions of Gemini. Google also plans to expand support to additional languages and Google Workspace Business and Enterprise users in the coming weeks.

With this update, Gemini positions itself as a stronger competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which already offers memory recall to enhance user interactions.
