“The
Cottage” organized Gandhi Shilp Bazar (8-14 January 2025), wherein 46 artisans
participated from states such as Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa,
Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. The
“Gandhi Shilp Bazaar” showcased exclusive handcrafted traditional paintings,
furniture, and artisanal crafts made by master craftspeople, national awardees,
Shilp Gurus, and state awardees. While inaugurating the exhibition along with
Shilp Gurus, National Awardees, Shilp Gurus,
Shri Manoj
Lal, Managing Director, the Central Cottage Industries Corporation Ltd., stated
that artisans & weavers are the backbone of the cottage industries sector,
and by preserving & sustaining the traditional crafts & craftsmanship
through generations, they have a major role to play in the economic growth and
promoting the cultural heritage of our country. In this direction, CCIC will
take all possible measures to promote their artisanal products to a global
audience through various government schemes, exhibitions, and exports. The
