Ranbir Kapoor Unveils Animal Trilogy and Hints at Alia Bhatt’s Return in Brahmastra 2

Ranbir Kapoor shared some exciting updates about the much-awaited Brahmastra Part 2. The sequel, still being written, will be called Dev.

After the huge success of Animal in 2023, Ranbir's career is reaching new heights. He’s currently filming Ramayana with director Nitesh Tiwari, but his blockbuster Animal is still grabbing attention. Ranbir revealed that Animal will be made into a trilogy, with the second part, titled Animal Park, expected to begin production by 2027.

Ranbir Kapoor recently shared exciting details about the future of Animal in an interview with Deadline Hollywood. He revealed that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga always planned for Animal to be a multi-part series. Kapoor explained, “The director is currently working on another film, but we’re expected to start the next part of Animal in 2027.” He has always wanted to make it a trilogy. The second part will be called Animal Park. We’ve been discussing ideas from the first film and how he wants to continue the story.”

He also hinted that in the second part of Animal, he will play two characters—both the hero and the villain—adding to the excitement around the project.

Besides talking about Animal, Ranbir Kapoor shared some updates on the much-awaited Brahmastra Part 2 The sequel, currently in development, will be titled Dev, following the success of the first film, Shiva.

Although the cast for Brahmastra 2 hasn’t been revealed yet, Ranbir Kapoor confirmed that his wife, Alia Bhatt, will return for the sequel. He also praised director Ayan Mukerji for his amazing work on the first film and expressed confidence that the Brahmastra franchise will keep growing with future movies.

Besides this, Kapoor is getting ready for his role in Ramayana Part 1, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film will have a star-studded cast, including Sai Pallavi and Yash. Kapoor’s role in this epic movie is expected to be another big highlight of his already successful career.
