Renowned Bollywood actor Salman Khan has recently received
yet another death threat, purportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang
is demanding ₹5 crore to settle the ongoing conflict. An alarming WhatsApp
message forwarded to the Mumbai Traffic Police has indicated that failure to
comply with this demand could lead to dire consequences for Khan, with the
message drawing parallels to the recent tragic fate of former Maharashtra
minister Baba Siddiqui, who was reportedly murdered by individuals associated
with the gang.
The chilling message clearly stated, "This is a serious
matter. If Salman Khan wishes to ensure his safety and resolve the conflict
with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹5 crore. Failing to do so will result in
repercussions worse than what befell Baba Siddiqui."
In response to this unsettling development, the Mumbai
Police have initiated efforts to trace the origin of the message, and security
measures around Khan's residence in Bandra have been intensified. Despite
Khan's ongoing vigilance following previous threats, this latest development
has further heightened concerns about the actor's safety.
Coinciding with this threat, the Navi Mumbai Police detained
a significant member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, identified as Sukha alias
Sukhbir Balbir Singh, in Panipat, Haryana. Singh is believed to have played a
substantial role in a plot to assassinate Khan, allegedly orchestrating the
recruitment of other gang members for this nefarious purpose.
According to sources, Singh had established contact with an
individual named Dogar, based in Pakistan, to coordinate the planned attack.
The gang intended to employ highly potent firearms, including AK-47s and M16s,
which were reportedly smuggled from Pakistan for the intended assassination.
The apprehension of
Singh marks a significant milestone in the continued scrutiny of the Bishnoi
gang's machinations aimed at Khan.
Earlier this year, the Navi Mumbai Police filed a report against 18 gang
members for their involvement in a plot to harm the actor, following an
incident where shots were fired outside Khan's residence.
The police report specifically implicates prominent figures
within the Bishnoi gang, including Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Anmol, Sampat
Nehra, Goldie Brar, and Rohit Godhara, known for their involvement in violent
criminal activities in North India.
Investigative authorities have disclosed that the gang had
deployed approximately 60 to 70 individuals to monitor Khan's movements,
surveilling various locations such as his residence in Bandra, his farmhouse in
Panvel, and his filming sites. The gang even attempted to recruit minors as
potential sharpshooters.
This is not the first time that Khan has been targeted by
the Bishnoi gang. In 2022, a threatening letter was discovered near his
residence, and in March 2023, he received an email from gang members.
Additionally, in January 2024, unknown individuals with falsified identities
attempted to trespass onto Khan's farmhouse, prompting the actor to bolster
security measures around his property.
Khan's discord with Lawrence Bishnoi traces back several
years, with the gangster reportedly harboring resentment towards the actor due
to his alleged involvement in a 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The Bishnoi
community reveres the blackbuck as a sacred animal, representing the primary
motivation behind the gang's pursuit of vengeance against Khan.
