If you’re looking for a quick way to relax after a busy day but don’t have time for a long bath, Japanese engineers might have the perfect solution. An Osaka-based company, Science Co., has created a futuristic human washing machine that can clean your body and calm your mind in just 15 minutes.
What is
the "human washing machine"?
Called the Mirai
Ningen Sentakuki (which means "human washing machine of the
future"), this high-tech device looks like a pod or a fighter jet cockpit.
It uses advanced AI to wash, dry, and refresh you with almost no effort. Around
1,000 lucky visitors will get to try it at the Osaka Kansai Expo in Japan.
How does
it work?
Inside the
pod, warm water fills halfway, and high-speed water jets filled with tiny air
bubbles spray over your body. These microbubbles pop when they touch your skin,
cleaning off dirt and grime. Interestingly, the same technology is used to
clean delicate electrical parts without chemicals.
But it’s not
just about getting clean—it’s also about relaxing. The pod has sensors in the
chair to track your heart rate and mood. Using AI, it adjusts the water
temperature and shows calming videos inside the pod to help you feel at ease.
The goal is to clean both your body and your mind, leaving you refreshed and
relaxed.
Inspired
by an old idea
The idea of
a human washing machine isn’t new. In the 1970s, a company called Sanyo
Electric (now Panasonic) introduced a similar concept, but it never went on
sale. Science Co. has updated the idea with modern technology to make it better
and more advanced.
When can
you buy it?
Right now,
the human washing machine isn’t for sale, and the company hasn’t
announced a price or release date. For now, you can experience it at the Osaka
Kansai Expo and get a glimpse of what future bathing might look like!
