Indian Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra has tied the knot with tennis player Himani Mor. The quiet wedding ceremony took place in Himachal Pradesh on January 16, 2025, with close family members in attendance.

Neeraj’s uncle, Bhim Chopra, revealed that the wedding was arranged by both families. He shared that the couple wanted the ceremony to remain private and didn’t disclose further details. After the wedding, Neeraj and Himani left for a trip abroad.

In an earlier interview, Neeraj had spoken about keeping his personal life out of the public eye. He said, “It’s up to an individual how much they want to share about their personal life. Even marriage doesn’t need to be announced to everyone.”

Who is Himani Mor?

Himani Mor, 25, is a skilled tennis player hailing from Sonipat, Haryana.She studied at Little Angels School and played tennis at the national level, achieving a career-high ranking of 42 in singles and 27 in doubles.

Himani also has an impressive academic background. She studied political science and physical education at Miranda House in Delhi and later earned a master’s degree in sports management from Franklin Pierce University in the USA. While studying, she worked as an assistant coach for the university’s women’s tennis team.

Himani’s tennis achievements include competing in the 2017 World University Games and winning gold at the 2016 World Junior Tennis Championship in Malaysia.

Neeraj Chopra’s Journey

Neeraj’s wedding comes after a remarkable 2024, where he won his second Olympic medal despite battling an injury. Currently training in South Africa under world record holder Jan Zelezny, Neeraj is preparing for the 2025 World Championships.
