Dr. Shailesh Kumar Giri Slams Tikait Brothers Over Pro-Pakistan Remarks on Indus Waters Treaty

I, Dr. Shailesh Kumar Giri (National Chief Spokesperson & Vice President, National Core Committee (Bhartiya Haldhar Kisan Union), strongly condemn the recent statements made by Naresh Tikait, National President of BKU, and Rakesh Tikait, National Spokesperson of BKU, regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, which appeared to favor our hostile neighbor Pakistan. Their tone and content raise a disturbing question—are the Tikait brothers running a branch of BKU in Pakistan too?

I will highlight several key points about the "Tikait Brothers Group of Companies" later in this note. However, right now, I raise a fundamental question:

If an FIR can be lodged against folk singer Neha Singh Rathore, then why not against the Tikait brothers, religious leaders like Mahamandaleshwar Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, and other irresponsible political figures who continuously indulge in inflammatory and baseless statements? If no action is taken against them, then Neha Singh Rathore too deserves relief.

“When the blood of soldiers and tourists flows, it’s not water—it should be fire that flows.”

As for the Tikait Brothers Group of Companies, I firmly say:

“Where there is no nation, there can be no Dharma; and where there is no Dharma, there can be no sustenance for the farmer.”

Their intentions are not rooted in national service but in cameras, media, platforms, opportunities, and divisive politics. The day is not far when the farmers of India will see through their real agenda and throw them out like a fly in milk.

Pahalgam… the land where tourists seek peace, has once again echoed with gunfire, piercing our hearts.

The womb of Mother India is once again soaked in blood.

Now is the time for one voice, one resolution.

“Bharat Mata Ki Jai” is no longer just a slogan—it is an answer to those enemies who spread hatred on our land.

In such a solemn moment, when the entire nation is mourning and angry, Neha Singh Rathore’s statement may have had genuine concerns, but the platform and timing were utterly wrong.

Even more concerning was that her question was posted via Pakistani social media handles! Was this ignorance or something more deliberate? Because the world saw not our unity, but our internal cracks.

Let me be clear: Rakesh Tikait, who claims to be the voice of the farmer, is misleading that very voice today. Watching his videos, my conscience tells me—strict action must be taken against him.

As for some opposition leaders, I want to say:

After such a tragic attack, their statements lacked not only empathy but also seemed to attack the very unity of this nation.

Some said, "Don’t retaliate immediately." Others said, "The government has failed."

Let us not forget

What happened after the 26/11 Mumbai attacks?

How silent were they after the 2013 Hyderabad blasts?

What accountability was shown after the 2012 Delhi blast?

Today, more than a decade later—major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Patna, and Varanasi have seen almost a complete halt in terrorist attacks. Intelligence success is 100 out of 100.

Terrorist networks inside India have been uprooted.

If 1% of incidents still occur in sensitive border areas like the mountainous terrains of Jammu & Kashmir, can that be called an intelligence failure? Or should it be considered an unprecedented success?

Think… compare… and then decide.

Fellow citizens,

This is not a time for criticism—

It is a time for unity.

Our soldiers, security forces, and intelligence agencies are working day and night to keep us safe.

Today’s India does not respond with cowardice—

Today’s India responds on the enemy’s soil.

So come, let us all raise our voices in one united chant:

Bharat Mata Ki Jai!

One voice, one resolution—with the nation, for the nation!

To the martyrs of Pahalgam, our true tribute will be—unity, resolve, and a firm response.

Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
